Job Overview

Vitreo-Retinal Consultants, Inc. in Mentor, OH is growing, and we need to expand our team! Our new office is located in the Newell Creek Medical Building right off of Route 90 and 615: 8140 Norton Parkway, Suite 230, Mentor, OH 44060. A Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred. However, we would consider training someone who is willing to learn and who has a basic understanding of medical history taking and medical terminology. Responsibilities:

Taking patient histories
Pre-exam testing
Assisting and scribing for physicians during exams, procedures, and advanced diagnostic testing.

Qualifications and skills required:

Ophthalmology/Retina experience preferred but not required
Ability to travel to outlying offices (mileage reimbursed)
Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
One year of medical assisting experience (ophthalmology experience is a plus, but is not required
