Job Overview

Vitreo-Retinal Consultants, Inc. in Canfield, OH is growing, and we need to expand our team! Our office is located off of route 224 at: 45 Manor Hill Dr., Ste. 200, Canfield, OH 44406. A Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred. However, we would consider training someone who is willing to learn and who has a basic understanding of medical history taking and medical terminology. Responsibilities:

Taking patient histories
Pre-exam testing
Assisting and scribing for physicians during exams, procedures, and advanced diagnostic testing.

Qualifications and skills required:

Ophthalmology/Retina experience preferred but not required
Ability to travel to outlying offices (mileage reimbursed)
Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
One year of medical assisting experience (ophthalmology experience is a plus, but is not required)
