Marc F.G. Estafanous, M.D. is a fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal specialist, certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Estafanous graduated with honors with a degree in Mathematics and Psychology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Estafanous completed his fellowship subspecialty training in vitreo-retinal disorders at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles. A Cleveland native, Dr. Estafanous returned to northeast Ohio and joined Vitreo-Retinal Consultants upon completion of his fellowship training in 2003.
Dr. Estafanous has been actively involved in the research of vitreo-retinal disorders. He has presented at multiple international medical conferences, and has published research on a variety of retinal disorders, including diabetic macular edema, age-related macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusion. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology
